ART SHOW

BLOOD IN THE EYES

Artwork featuring a self-portrait by Rosa Luz, a photo-painting where the red color evokes bloodshot eyes.

Sangue nos olhos" is the inaugural exhibition of PFS, where Rosa Luz deepens her investigation into the value of life and art produced from the margins.

Her works are visual manifestos that demand not only space but the protagonism of Quebrada aesthetics within the contemporary scene.

With a career defined by intersectionality, Rosa draws on her lived experience as a trans woman from the periphery to challenge the power structures of the art market and the invisibility of dissident bodies.

Through PFS, she leads a movement of cultural autonomy, transforming the lived reality of São Miguel Paulista into an artistic language with global reach.

The first part of the exhibition marked the founding of PFS in União de Vila Nova, establishing the body as a territory of denunciation through visceral records that confront the gaze of the "center" and reclaim the self-valorization of peripheral artistic production.

ACT 2: THE OVERFLOW (2026)

In the second act, artist Rosa Luz occupies the PFS to subvert what time has tried to paralyze. Revisiting works from a decade ago, the paint now overflows the frames. The pulsating red runs down the studio walls like a trace of someone who refuses to be invisible in the face of the structural silencing of whiteness and the limitations of the cis-system.

It is the meeting of our history with the urgency of the flesh, and we occupy this space with the same skin that society tries to hide, but cannot stop desiring.

HERE, ART DOESN'T ASK FOR PERMISSION.

SHE REDEFINES THE CENTER.
