Pantanal Favela Studio (PFS) does not ask for permission to enter the circuit. It is the circuit.
Located atop a three-story building in União de Vila Nova, PFS is a cultural center, art gallery, and intelligence hub founded on the concrete of autonomy. Here, the periphery is not the "theme" of the work; it is the curator, the manager, and the owner of the capital.
We were born to bury the colonial gaze that sees the favela only as a place of scarcity or a "laboratory" for academics. At PFS, the laboratory is our lived experience. Research is our foundation. Technology is our survival.
Our Pillars of Autonomy:

Quebrada Art: Our production overflows the "contemporary art" category dictated by the market. We are an autonomous movement reclaiming the protagonism of our own history. Here, we have the freedom to name our aesthetics and dictate the value of our reality.

Ethical Economy (60/40): Art here strengthens the community itself. Our sales don't just feed gallery owners' egos; they fund river cleanups, hire local labor, and invest in the next generation of Quebrada artists. It is capital returning to its source.

Territorial Intelligence: PFS is the meeting point between Axé and the algorithm. Between the Laje and the global art market. We are not "avant-garde"—a term that has always served others to say who comes first. We are Quebrada, reaffirming the intellectual power produced within our territory.

The Laje as a Portal: From the third floor, our view is not just of União de Vila Nova; it is of the present constructing the future. PFS is a sanctuary of freedom for dissident, trans, and peripheral artists who are tired of knocking on closed doors and have decided to build their own destiny.
Pantanal Favela Studio is the end of invisibility and the beginning of autonomy. Here, Quebrada art dictates the rules, and we are open to dialogue with the world.
