ANALU FLOR
Born in Conjunto Marcos Freire, in the Pimentas district (Guarulhos, Brazil), Analu Flor is a multidisciplinary artist working across visual arts, theatre and art education. Her practice articulates peripheral experiences and Afro-Brazilian references, engaging with Funk and Hip-Hop cultures while refusing aesthetic stereotyping.
She trained as an actress at Estúdio de Treinamento Artístico, holds a Stage Techniques degree from SP Escola de Teatro, and is currently pursuing a Visual Arts degree at FAAP. She is a member of Companhia Mandingueira, a collective of Black artists based in São Paulo’s North Zone dedicated to multidisciplinary research with emphasis on theatre.
In visual arts, her work includes scenography, stage objects and painting, emphasizing discarded materials and object reinvention. She currently develops an autoethnographic research investigating identity, belonging and Black artistic existence.
